Responsibilities for Aircraft Load Agent
-
Responsible for the routing, loading, and unloading of inbound and outbound air freight shipments to and from the proper destinations.

Interact with customers to receive and provide cargo shipments, collect fees, and process payments and other transactions related to those shipments in a courteous, accurate and timely manner.

Prepares and examines bill of lading and weigh items to determine shipping charges and prepare freight bills.

Notifies customers of any delays in departure or arrival of shipments.

Always maintains safety and security of the cargo facility and complies with safety procedures and station policies.

May also perform Ramp Agent duties as needed.

Performs other related duties as assigned within the appropriate skill and experience capabilities expected for this position.
Qualifications for Aircraft Load Agent

Able to work in extreme conditions, such as hot and cold weather, as well as small spaces

Eligible to receive appropriate security clearances after satisfactory completion of a criminal background check.

Familiarity with basic computer programs to assist with record-keeping and baggage routing

Possess a valid driver's license with a good driving record.

Flexible schedule allowing work during nights, weekends, and holidays. Some shifts may require extended hours to meet business needs.

Must be able to lift, carry, push, pull and move items up to 70 pounds or more on a regular basis.

Must be able to observe, judge distances, identify surroundings, hazards, aircrafts, and equipment.

Must be able to communicate by radio and other devices.
A.M. shift, P.M. shift, Overnight shift
