Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival, providing friendly and attentive customer service from the moment they walk in
- Manage guest seating arrangements efficiently, maintaining flow during busy hours and accommodating special requests
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS to process orders accurately and swiftly
- Handle cash, credit card transactions, and receipts with precision, ensuring all payments are correctly processed
- Deliver food orders from the kitchen to tables promptly, maintaining high standards of presentation and quality
- Assist with maintaining cleanliness of the dining area, including clearing tables and resetting for new guests
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and team members to ensure smooth service flow and guest satisfaction
Experience
- Prior experience as a host/hostess or in food service is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and a willingness to learn are key!
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests
- Excellent communication skills to interact clearly with guests, team members, and management
- Familiarity with restaurant POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus
- Previous experience in hospitality or guest services roles enhances your ability to excel in this position
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a friendly demeanor
- Knowledge of phone etiquette and guest relations best practices helps create a welcoming atmosphere for all visitors
