Position Summary
Oversees all activities of the main church office and provides administrative support to the staff. Provide supervisory oversight to paid or volunteer support staff who perform clerical activities.
Share the church’s vision and the Pastor’s heart in all dealings with members of the Church or the community.

Skills/Tasks
· Setting up appointments as required by Pastor
· Acting as receptionist – answering phones and front door bell for visitors
· Preparing all bulletins. Sunday Bulletins will be prepared by Friday
Order supplies for the office
· Handle all incoming mail, correspondence, including but not limited to: visitor letters, email blasts, donations for memorials, newsletters, shut-in news (senior news), email to and from Conference
· Charge conference reports – distributing necessary reports, collecting data from leaders and submitting reports
· Manage altar flowers for Traditional Service, Palms, Easter, Christmas, etc
· Manage sign-up sheets for New Member classes, email addresses and other periodic sign-up needs.
· Communicate church needs (weekly calendar) and pastoral instructions to the custodian
Copy various materials as required
Maintain and update databases,
· Membership manager (both book and Servant Keeper) including offering envelope assignments to new members, address changes, email addresses, etc
· Maintain shut-in/visitation list
· Assists with preparing publicity flyers, registration sheets and QR codes.
Maintain key card/fob distribution program; programming doors, key cards/fobs.
· Maintain guest and friends of the congregation lists

· Checks altar candles on a regular basis and replaces them as needed.
· Contact and schedule liturgists for the traditional service each week and send them a copy of the final bulletin and liturgy reading.
· Prepare the traditional service PowerPoint slide presentation each week.
· Print necessary number of contemporary service scripts each week for the worship leader and tech team.
· Attend weekly staff meetings and take minutes of meeting.
Accountability
· This position is responsible to the Senior Pastor and to the Staff Parish Relations Committee.
Job Evaluation and Provisions
· It is a year-round, part-time position.
· Upon employment, the first three months are considered probationary.
· Salary and performance will be reviewed by the Staff Parish Relations Committee on an annual basis.
· Vacation must be approved in advance by the Pastor
· Absence due to illness or emergency is to be brought to the Senior Pastor’s attention immediately.
· Any difficulties or challenges are to be brought to the Senior Pastor’s attention for assistance; triumphs and accomplishments are to be shared with Senior Pastor and fellow staff for celebration.
· Termination of Employment may be initiated by the employer or employee at any time, A sixty days (60) written notice is preferred but 2 weeks is required.
· With sufficient cause, failure to adhere to the responsibilities outlined may result in immediate termination.
Pay: From $18.00 per hour
