Position: Crew Member / In-Store Team Member

Position Summary
Papa Johns Crew Members are an important part of delivering a great experience to every customer. Crew Members are responsible for preparing high-quality food, providing friendly and professional customer service, maintaining a clean and organized restaurant, and supporting the team during daily operations.
We are looking for dependable, energetic, and team-oriented individuals who take pride in their work and are willing to learn. No previous restaurant experience is required—we will provide training.
Essential Job Duties
Crew Members may be assigned to different areas of the restaurant based on business needs.
Customer Service
- Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner.
- Take customer orders accurately in person and over the phone.
- Assist customers with menu questions, specials, and order concerns.
- Provide fast, friendly, and accurate service.
- Verify orders before they are given to customers or delivery drivers.
- Thank customers and encourage them to return.
Food Preparation
- Prepare pizzas, sides, desserts, and other menu items according to Papa Johns standards.
- Properly portion ingredients and follow approved recipes and procedures.
- Prepare dough and other products as assigned.
- Maintain proper product rotation using FIFO procedures.
- Check product dates, labels, and quality throughout the shift.
- Never use expired, contaminated, or poor-quality products.
- Follow proper handwashing, glove use, and food-handling procedures.
Restaurant Operations
- Operate the point-of-sale system and accurately process customer transactions.
- Answer restaurant phones promptly and professionally.
- Stock the makeline, cut station, beverage areas, boxes, and other workstations.
- Assist with opening, shift-change, and closing duties.
- Complete assigned prep work and cleaning responsibilities.
- Help maintain appropriate product levels during busy periods.
- Communicate with managers when products, supplies, or ingredients are running low.
Cleaning & Sanitation
Every Crew Member is responsible for maintaining a clean restaurant.
Responsibilities include:
- Cleaning and sanitizing food preparation surfaces.
- Washing dishes, utensils, pans, and equipment.
- Sweeping and mopping floors.
- Cleaning counters, doors, windows, and customer areas.
- Cleaning restrooms when assigned.
- Emptying trash and replacing liners.
- Keeping walk-in coolers, storage areas, and workstations organized.
- Cleaning equipment according to restaurant procedures.
- Completing assigned opening and closing cleaning duties.
Cleaning is a shared responsibility and is part of every Crew Member's job.
Food Safety
Crew Members are expected to follow all company and local food-safety requirements, including:
- Proper handwashing procedures.
- Preventing cross-contamination.
- Maintaining proper food temperatures.
- Correctly labeling and dating products.
- Following FIFO rotation procedures.
- Immediately reporting expired or questionable products to management.
- Maintaining clean and sanitized food-contact surfaces.
- Following illness-reporting requirements.
Food safety and customer safety must always come before speed or convenience.
Teamwork Expectations
Crew Members are expected to:
- Treat coworkers, customers, and managers with respect.
- Communicate clearly with other team members.
- Help teammates during busy periods.
- Follow reasonable instructions provided by restaurant management.
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude.
- Arrive ready to work at the scheduled start time.
- Complete assigned responsibilities before leaving the shift.
- Ask for assistance when unsure about a procedure.
Attendance & Reliability
Reliable attendance is essential to restaurant operations.
Crew Members are expected to:
- Report to work on time and ready to begin their shift.
- Follow restaurant procedures when calling out or reporting an absence.
- Notify management as early as possible when an emergency prevents attendance.
- Work their scheduled shifts unless properly excused by management.
- Follow restaurant policies regarding schedule changes and shift coverage.
Physical Requirements
Crew Members must be able to perform the essential functions of the position, with reasonable accommodation when applicable.
The position may require:
- Standing and walking for extended periods.
- Bending, reaching, twisting, and repetitive movements.
- Working around ovens and other hot equipment.
- Working in refrigerated or freezer areas for short periods.
- Lifting and carrying restaurant supplies, food products, and equipment.
- Working in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
- Safely performing cleaning and food-preparation tasks.

Pay: $17.13 - $19.00 per hour
