Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) to join our dynamic dental team. Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry, ensuring efficient workflow.
- Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments, materials, and supplies while maintaining strict aseptic techniques.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays), ensuring patient safety and compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Operate electronic medical records (EMR) systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft for accurate documentation of patient information and treatment plans.
- Manage patient intake by recording vital signs, medical history, and updating medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA standards.
- Support front desk duties as a dental receptionist when needed, including scheduling appointments and managing patient records.
- Conduct medical imaging using advanced tools like 3D scanners and ensure proper infection control protocols are followed at all times.
- Assist with dental procedures involving pediatric patients by applying specialized techniques suited for children.
- Maintain knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical coding to accurately document procedures and support billing processes.
- Uphold infection control standards through proper sterilization practices and aseptic techniques to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
Skills
- Proficiency in dental assisting techniques, including chairside assisting, four-handed dentistry, and taking X-rays.
- Ability to operate advanced dental imaging equipment like 3D scanners while maintaining infection control standards.
- Excellent communication skills to interact confidently with patients of all ages and collaborate seamlessly with the dental team.
