Position Summary
SMaRT Health & Wellness is seeking an enthusiastic, patient-focused Limited or Full X-Ray Technician to join our growing clinical team. This position offers far more than traditional radiography. You'll become an integral member of an innovative orthopedic and sports medicine practice where you'll participate in patient care, advanced musculoskeletal imaging, regenerative medicine procedures, and collaborative multidisciplinary care.We are looking for someone who is motivated, dependable, enjoys working directly with patients, and takes pride in providing an exceptional patient experience.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (preferred)
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (preferred)
- Valid California certification as either a Limited X-Ray Technician or Full X-Ray Technician (required)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in orthopedic, sports medicine, urgent care, or musculoskeletal practice
- Background as an Medical Assistant (MA), or Phlebotomist
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR)
- Medical scribing or clinical documentation experience
- Strong interest in orthopedic surgery, sports medicine, and regenerative medicine
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Excellent patient communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong understanding of orthopedic anatomy and medical terminology
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality patient care
- Experience with electronic medical records and clinical documentation
- Professional, positive, team-oriented attitude
- Commitment to HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Obtain and document vital signs, medical histories, and patient information
- Prepare patients for physician evaluation and clinical procedures
- Perform diagnostic radiographic imaging in accordance with certification scope
- Assist physicians during orthopedic and sports medicine procedures
- Support regenerative medicine procedures, including PRP and orthobiologic treatments
- Assist with phlebotomy when appropriately trained
- Maintain imaging equipment and examination rooms
- Accurately document patient encounters within the electronic medical record
- Assist with medical scribing and treatment documentation as needed
- Help maintain efficient patient flow throughout the clinic
- Deliver exceptional customer service while creating a welcoming patient experience
- Adhere to all safety, regulatory, and HIPAA standards
