Full Time position supporting the Sales and Accounting Department
The Sales Coordinator & Accounting Clerk is responsible for clerical, administrative, cash handling and other duties to assist in the smooth operation of Sales and Accounting Department. He/she is also responsible for providing attentive, courteous and efficient service to all guests.
Sales Coordinator Responsibilities:
- Handle & Qualify inquiries
- Conduct client site visit of the property as needed
- Filing of all pertinent correspondence in a timely manner
- Assist Managers in responding to inquiries, communicating with clients, preparing banquet event orders and group resume
- Assist in collecting event deposit and payment
- Prepare welcome amenities for guests
- Must be able to multi-task
- Prepare professional sales presentation materials, contracts and proposals with guidance and utilizing available resources
- Prepare and schedule Social Media postings with guidance
Accounting Clerk Responsibilities:
- Prepare daily revenue posting and cash deposits
- Process, code and post vendor invoices and reconcile statements
- Generate and send A/R invoices. Process and apply customer payment
- Reconcile reservations and hotel rewards redemptions
- Investigate and process credit card disputes/chargebacks
- Assist Controller with month end related functions and reports.
Job requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent required and/or experience in a hotel or a related field preferred
- Exercise excellent communication and listening skills
- Detail oriented with high accuracy in data entry
- 1 to 3 years of progressive experience in a hotel
- College course work in related field helpful
- Computer knowledge/skills required
- Positive attitude and friendly manner
- Must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and written, with all level of employees and guests in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service oriented fashion at all times
- Delphi knowledge a plus
- Opera Knowledge a plus
