Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to various locations. This role requires a strong understanding of vehicle operation, adherence to safety regulations, and excellent route planning skills.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the safe and timely delivery of goods to designated locations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, routes taken, and any incidents that occur during transport.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while driving.
- Assist in loading and unloading cargo as needed.
- Perform routine maintenance on vehicles as required.
Skills
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or truck driver with a strong understanding of route driving.
- Excellent navigation skills with the ability to read maps and use GPS systems effectively.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to safety protocols.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Good communication skills for effective interaction with clients and dispatchers.
