Niswanger Law is a boutique law firm in West Monroe, Louisiana specializing in tax, business, and estate planning. Client needs include:
- Assisting with mergers and acquisitions
- Drafting corporate governance documents
- Implementing company restructures to maximize asset protection and tax savings, and providing general business counsel
- Estate planning, including power of attorney, last will and testament, trusts, and probate avoidance

Job Responsibilities & Duties
Essential Job Duties:
- Communicating with clients by phone, email, and in office in a professional manner
- Opening the office each morning (unlock front door, open blinds, make coffee) and closing it each evening (close blinds, lock front door); adjusting the thermostat morning and evening
- Handling mail: checking the black mailbox outside the door daily (especially Monday mornings) and making sure the runner picks up mail from the Monroe PO box daily; scanning mail and emailing it to clients
- Keeping the attorneys’ meeting tracker updated weekly
- Scanning, organizing, and purging client files
Additional Job Duties — Office Upkeep:
- Keeping conference rooms clean and tidy after each meeting
- Cleaning whiteboards after every use (before the next client arrives), making sure no previous client’s information is left visible
- Keeping plants watered
- Keeping front and back door windows clean, inside and out
- Clearing out shred boxes weekly
- Making sure garbage cans are emptied as needed, and definitely by Friday afternoon (directly or via a runner)
- Leaving the kitchen clean each evening — dishes washed, coffee pot ready for the next morning
- Any other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Skills
- High attention to detail
- Ability to follow directions and procedures
- Strong organizational skills
- Proficient in typing, computer usage, MS Word, Google Drive, and Adobe PDF (Acrobat)
- Proficiency in MS Excel helpful, but not required
- Proficient in AI, or willing to learn
- Diligent work ethic and desire to continually grow and learn
- Good with people; outgoing personality
