Night Shift Maintenance Manager – Quarry Operations

Mitchell Quarry is looking for a dependable, hands-on Maintenance Manager to oversee night shift maintenance operations at our quarry facility. This position is responsible for keeping equipment, plants, conveyors, crushers, and support machinery operating safely and efficiently during overnight production hours.
This is a working management position for someone who is mechanically inclined, organized, and able to troubleshoot problems independently in a fast-paced quarry environment.
Schedule:
Monday–Friday
6:00 PM – 2:00 AM
Some Saturdays as needed
Responsibilities
- Oversee and perform maintenance and repairs on quarry equipment and plant operations
- Troubleshoot mechanical breakdowns and minimize downtime
- Coordinate and prioritize nightly maintenance tasks
- Inspect crushers, screens, conveyors, motors, belts, and mobile equipment
- Manage preventative maintenance schedules and repair records
- Work with operators and management to identify equipment issues
- Ensure maintenance work is completed safely and efficiently
- Order and organize parts, supplies, and shop inventory as needed
- Assist with welding, fabrication, and repairs when necessary
- Maintain a clean and organized shop/work area
Qualifications
- Experience in heavy equipment, quarry, mining, construction, or industrial maintenance preferred
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills
- Welding and fabrication experience preferred
- Ability to lead a crew and work independently
- Knowledge of hydraulics, bearings, conveyors, crushers, and diesel equipment is a plus
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Valid driver’s license required
Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
