Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Janitor to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across our facilities. Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal across all designated areas.
- Handle various cleaning agents and chemicals safely, following proper chemical handling safety procedures.
- Operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, scrubbers, and carpet cleaners to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
- Conduct floor care activities including buffing, polishing, and maintaining different flooring surfaces to ensure durability and appearance.
- Assist with light custodial maintenance tasks such as replacing supplies, restocking restrooms, and minor repairs as needed.
- Follow strict safety protocols during all cleaning activities, including heavy lifting and manual handling practices to prevent injuries.
- Support facilities maintenance efforts by reporting any damages or hazards promptly to ensure a safe environment for everyone.
Requirements
- Proven janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or industrial settings.
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques, sanitation standards, and proper use of cleaning equipment.
- Ability to handle chemical agents safely while adhering to safety protocol guidelines.
- Physical capability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks with safe lifting practices.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
- Customer service orientation with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Prior experience with industrial cleaning or residential painting is a plus but not required.
