We are seeking a highly skilled CNC Programmer with expertise in TRUE 5-axis machining, utilizing advanced CAM software such as Mastercam or Fusion 360. Duties
- Develop and optimize CNC programs for 5-axis milling machines using Mastercam or Fusion 360, ensuring precise adherence to design specifications.
- Interpret complex blueprints, schematics, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) to accurately translate engineering drawings into machine instructions.
- Set up and calibrate CNC milling machines, including Fanuc controls, ensuring proper tooling, fixtures, and workpiece alignment for optimal performance.
- Utilize CAD software such as AutoCAD and SolidWorks to assist in designing and verifying machining processes and tooling layouts.
- Apply knowledge of tooling, geometry, and precision measuring instruments like bore gauges, micrometers, calipers, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM) to maintain strict quality standards.
- Implement lean manufacturing principles to streamline operations, reduce waste, and improve overall productivity within the machining process.
- Conduct routine inspections using schematics and electrical discharge machining (EDM) techniques when necessary; troubleshoot machine issues promptly.
Experience
- Proven experience programming 5-axis CNC milling machines with Mastercam or Fusion 360 in a high-volume manufacturing setting.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with familiarity in CNC lathe operations, CNC milling machines, and related tooling setups.
- Demonstrated ability to read complex blueprints and schematics accurately while applying GD&T standards for precision manufacturing.
- Hands-on experience with Fanuc controls and familiarity with CAD/CAM integration processes.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing methodologies to enhance efficiency and reduce cycle times.
- Skilled in using precision measuring instruments such as bore gauges, micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM).
- Background in working with electrical discharge machining (EDM), schematics interpretation, and mechanical troubleshooting is a plus. Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
