Job Summary:
Opportunity to learn the fire sprinkler industry through studies and on-the-job training. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the necessary characteristics, aptitude, motivation, and personality traits conducive to success in our trade.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities:
- Installation, service, and troubleshooting of residential, commercial, and industrial buildings automatic fire sprinkler systems along with all its related equipment.
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Complete assigned projects in a timely manner and attempt to keep under budget.
- Ensure that all projects are done flawlessly.
- Work on projects independently.
- Use project drawings to interpret installation requirement details accurately and entirely.
- Update daily installation progress notes on job contract drawings (as-built’s).
- Communicate any change orders as necessary to the fire sprinkler manager and or project manager to get approval before commencement of change.
- Thread and groove pipe, cut hanger rods, frequently climb ladders, hang pipe, read blueprints, layout, keep clean work area, and use appropriate equipment for any specific job such as tools, lifts, etc.
Preferred Qualifications – Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Pass a Background Check.
- Construction background is a plus but not required.
- Pass a Drug Screening.
