Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Laundry Attendant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organization within the laundry department, ensuring that all linens and garments are washed, dried, and pressed to the highest standards. This role is essential in providing exceptional service to our guests by ensuring that all laundry items are handled efficiently and effectively.
Duties
- Operate washing machines and dryers according to established protocols for various types of fabrics.
- Sort, wash, dry, fold, and store linens, towels, and garments as per hotel standards.
- Perform dry cleaning tasks when necessary, ensuring that all items are treated appropriately based on fabric care labels.
- Maintain cleanliness of the laundry area by regularly cleaning machines and work surfaces.
- Monitor inventory levels of laundry supplies and notify management when replenishment is needed.
- Adhere to safety protocols and best practices while handling cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Collaborate with housekeeping staff to ensure timely delivery of clean linens to guest rooms and common areas.
Experience
- Previous experience in a laundry or cleaning role is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with laundry equipment operation and maintenance is a plus.
- Experience in a hotel environment is advantageous, as it provides insight into guest service expectations.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
