Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals with developmental disabilities, assisting them in daily living activities and promoting their independence. Your contributions will make a significant difference in the lives of those you serve, ensuring they receive the care and support they need in a safe and nurturing environment. Responsibilities
- Assist individuals with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including personal hygiene, dressing, and grooming.
- Provide patient care by monitoring vital signs and observing changes in health status.
- Support meal preparation and cooking, ensuring dietary needs are met.
- Maintain a clean and safe living environment through regular cleaning duties.
- Implement care plans tailored to individual needs, including medication administration as required through G-TUBE
- Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote social interaction and personal growth.
- Utilize proper techniques for heavy lifting and transferring individuals using equipment such as Hoyer lifts when necessary.
- Document patient observations accurately while adhering to HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, family members, and other caregivers to ensure comprehensive support for clients.
Experience
Candidates should possess the following skills and experience:
- Previous experience working with people with developmental disabilities or autism is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with DD individuals
- Experience in DD, group homes.
- Knowledge of first aid and CPR and G-TUBE certification is a plus.
- Background in home health care or long-term care experience is advantageous.

Pay: $16.00 - $17.50 per hour
