Advocating Better Lives for Everyone (ABLE), LLC is looking for a compassionate, dependable male Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide Community Coaching services to an adult male in the Stafford area.
This is more than a caregiving job—it’s an opportunity to help someone build independence, develop life skills, and become more involved in the community.
What You’ll Do
- Support the individual during community outings and activities
- Teach and reinforce independent living and social skills
- Assist with community integration, recreation, volunteering, fitness, and other meaningful activities
- Encourage communication, problem-solving, and decision-making
- Provide transportation to and from community activities
- Complete required documentation after each shift
Qualifications
- Male preferred based on the individual’s preferences and support needs
- At least 18 years old
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Reliable vehicle with current insurance
- Ability to pass criminal background and other required screenings
- Dependable, patient, and professional
- Experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred but not required—we provide training.
Schedule
- Full-Time
