American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a PACU position requiring ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications along with 2 years of relevant experience.

Work in the PACU department of a community hospital setting
-
Care for pre- and post-operative patients across a variety of surgical specialties
-
Patient ratio of 1:2
-
Schedule consists of 4x10 hour day shifts, 9:00am-7:00pm, with Mondays off
-
Open to accommodating block schedules
-
Call required, including one weekend per month plus four additional shifts per month
-
Float within scope to other areas as facility needs require

Uses Meditech Expanse EMR
-
Active RN license (Indiana or Compact) required in-hand prior to start
-
Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and PALS
-
Minimum 2 years of PACU experience required
-
Community hospital experience preferred
-
Previous charge experience preferred
-
Meditech charting experience preferred
-
Pending state licenses not accepted
-
Provide pre- and post-operative care including pre-op assessments, discharge instructions, and medication reconciliation
-
Support a range of surgical cases including ortho, neuro/spine, cardiac, GI, GYN, and bariatric procedures

Manage airway, respiratory, and cardiac monitoring equipment as needed
-
First-time travelers considered depending on experience level

Local candidates accepted at a reduced local rate within an 80-mile radius
-
Call-outs are restricted if more than one week's notice is required

Indicate holiday availability at time of consideration

A valid driver's license must be provided for consideration

Completion of facility training modules required prior to start and annually
