Position: CNC Lathe Machinist
Shift: 1st Shift (6:00 AM – 3:30 PM, Monday – Friday)
Overtime: Must be available and flexible to work overtime as needed
Pay: $25.00 – $32.00 per hour
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced CNC Lathe Machinist to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have experience programming, setting up, and operating CNC lathes while producing precision machined components to tight tolerances. This position requires strong blueprint reading skills, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain high-quality standards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Program, set up, and operate CNC lathes based on blueprints and work instructions.
- Produce precision machined parts while maintaining tight tolerances.
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications.
- Machine various types of materials to customer specifications.
- Perform machine setups, tooling changes, and adjustments.
- Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments including micrometers, bore gauges, and other inspection tools.
- Complete production documentation accurately and maintain quality records.
- Follow all company safety procedures and manufacturing standards.
- Work collaboratively with team members to achieve production goals.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 4 years of machining experience.
- Experience programming and setting up CNC machines.
- Experience operating CNC lathes.
- Knowledge of Mazatrol and G-Code programming is preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.
- Experience holding tight tolerances.
- Experience machining a variety of materials.
- Proficient with precision measuring instruments, including micrometers and bore gauges.
- Strong attention to detail and documentation skills.
- Team-oriented with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
