Duties
- Prepare ingredients and assist in the assembly of menu items with precision and speed, ensuring all food meets quality standards.
- Follow established recipes, portion controls, and presentation guidelines to deliver consistent dishes.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering strictly to food safety management protocols.
- Support the kitchen team during busy service hours by slicing, chopping, and preparing ingredients efficiently.
- Assist with inventory management by rotating stock and notifying supervisors of low supplies or safety concerns.
- Uphold safety standards in food production, including proper handling, storage, and sanitation practices.
- Contribute to a positive team environment by collaborating effectively with chefs, servers, and other kitchen staff.
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant kitchens, or culinary environments is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated knife skills with proficiency in slicing techniques and food preparation methods.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and safe handling procedures within the food industry.
- Experience with menu planning, meal preparation, and catering is a plus.
