Job Overview
The Tape Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily production operations, ensuring product quality, maintaining accurate inventory, and coordinating workflow across multiple production areas. This role ensures compliance with safety standards, quality requirements, and company policies while driving efficiency and continuous improvement within the plant.
Responsibilities
- Supervision & Leadership
- Provide daily oversight and direction to production staff.
- Ensure team members follow safety procedures, company policies, and productivity standards.
- Assist in training new employees on equipment use, processes, and best practices.
- Receive and prioritize production orders from Customer Service
- Plan, schedule, and direct production activities for: Foil/Rubber Slitter, Coating line, Adhesive line, Rewind, and shipping/receiving
- Monitor workflow to ensure production goals and deadlines are met
Qualifications
- Ability to lift, move, and handle materials as required up to 50 lbs.
- Basic computer skills
- Reliability, teamwork, and a strong safety focus
- Ability to obtain a Swarco Forklift certification.
Quality Assurance
- Ensure finished product quality meets company standards
- Verify packaging accuracy and labeling
- Create and manage packaging labels
Safety & Compliance
- Enforce all safety requirements and procedures
- Maintain lift truck certification
- Ensure safe operation of equipment and materials
Facility & Housekeeping
- Monitor plant appearance and maintain a clean, organized work environment
Team & Administrative Duties
- Approve weekly payroll for assigned employees
- Assist in staffing coverage by filling in for other positions when necessary
- Support Maintenance team with equipment breakdowns and operational issues
Continuous Improvement & Collaboration
- Drive continuous process improvement initiatives
- Coordinate with the Plant Manager on new product development and quality concerns
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce waste
Pay: $22.00 - $30.00 per hour
