Commercial Real Estate Paralegal
Position Summary
A well-established law firm is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and motivated Commercial Real Estate Paralegal to join our growing real estate practice. This position supports attorneys in all aspects of commercial real estate transactions, including purchases, sales, refinances, leases, and development. The ideal candidate is experienced in handling a consistent workload from contract through post-closing while delivering exceptional client service and maintaining the highest level of accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
Transaction Management
- Open and support commercial real estate files from intake through post-closing.
- Review purchase and sale agreements, leases, loan documents, and related agreements for completeness and critical deadlines.
- Track contingency, financing, and due diligence periods, as well as closing dates, and other deadlines.
- Coordinate transactions with attorneys, lenders, title insurance companies, brokers, clients, and opposing counsel.
Commercial Real Estate
- Assist attorneys with acquisitions, dispositions, refinances, commercial leasing, and development projects.
- Coordinate due diligence, including title, zoning, environmental reports, organizational documents, and insurance requirements.
- Prepare closing checklists and organize transaction documents.
- Review title commitments and surveys, and coordinate the resolution of title objections.
- Prepare closing binders and post-closing documentation.
Document Preparation & Review
- Prepare deeds, affidavits, closing statements, transfer documents, leases, and title curatives.
- Prepare organizational documents, resolutions, and certificates.
- Organize closing packages.
Client & Vendor Communication
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients regarding transaction status.
- Communicate professionally with lenders, title insurance companies, municipalities, surveyors, brokers, and opposing counsel.
- Respond promptly to inquiries while maintaining exceptional client service.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with clients and referral sources.
Administrative & Compliance Support
- Maintain organized electronic and physical files within the firm's case management system.
- Ensure compliance with firm procedures, lender requirements, title standards, and applicable state and federal regulations.
- Maintain confidentiality of client information and financial records.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a commercial real estate paralegal, preferably with buy/ sell experience.
- Thorough knowledge of real estate closing procedures, title review, and recording requirements.
- Experience reviewing title commitments, surveys, organizational documents, and commercial due diligence materials.
- Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities.
- Professional written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to support and coordinate multiple transactions pursuant to deadlines.
- High level of professionalism, attention to detail, and commitment to client service.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and real estate/title software.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with institutional lenders.
- Familiarity with commercial leasing transactions.
- Knowledge of coporate formation documents.
- Experience preparing commercial closing binders and handling post-closing compliance.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
