A/C Mechanic I (HVAC Technician I)
Location: Atlanta, GA 30332
Pay: $23.00 - $26.00
Schedule: Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Occasional Overtime Required
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced A/C Mechanic I to perform installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of HVAC systems and related mechanical equipment. This position is ideal for candidates with strong journeyman-level HVAC skills and experience working with commercial heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.
Responsibilities
- Install, repair, replace, operate, and maintain HVAC equipment
- Perform preventive maintenance on heating and cooling systems
- Troubleshoot pneumatic, electrical, and digital control systems
- Calibrate and test HVAC components
- Read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
- Maintain compressors, motors, fans, belts, dampers, coils, and piping systems
- Assist with ordering HVAC parts and materials as needed
- Utilize specialized software and computer applications
- Follow all safety procedures and company standards
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Minimum 2 years of HVAC-related experience required
- Ability to troubleshoot HVAC systems independently
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications
- HVAC License preferred
- Technical Diploma or Associate Degree in HVAC or related field
