Delivery Lead - Job Overview

Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end delivery of enterprise software projects, ensuring adherence to scope, schedule, budget, and quality standards.
- Develop comprehensive project plans utilizing tools such as Microsoft Project, Visio, Jira, and SharePoint to facilitate effective tracking and reporting.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to gather detailed requirements and translate them into actionable project deliverables while managing expectations through transparent communication.
- Implement and oversee Agile methodologies like SAFe and Kanban alongside traditional Waterfall approaches to optimize project workflows.
- Manage project teams including technical project managers, developers, testers, and infrastructure specialists; provide mentorship and leadership to foster high performance.
- Oversee the SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle), ensuring compliance with IT governance policies and best practices such as PMBOK standards.
- Facilitate user acceptance testing (UAT), review test cases, and ensure successful deployment of solutions with minimal disruption.
- Monitor project risks, issues, and dependencies; proactively implement mitigation strategies to ensure smooth delivery.
- Drive release management activities including planning, scheduling, and coordination across multiple teams for seamless software implementation.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation covering project schedules, risk logs, test plans, disaster recovery procedures, and status reports.
Requirements
- Extensive project management experience in technology environments with a focus on enterprise software implementation.
- Experience with or understanding of Insurance Industry.
- Proven leadership in technical project & program management supervisory roles within IT infrastructure and software development domains.
- Strong familiarity with project management methodologies including Agile (SAFe), Waterfall, TFS (Team Foundation Server), VersionOne, and other project management software tools.
- Deep understanding of cloud computing platforms such as AWS along with experience managing enterprise solutions across databases like SQL and Oracle.
- Skilled in requirements gathering, analysis skills, user acceptance testing (UAT), and delivering test-driven development environments.
- Proficiency in IT governance frameworks including disaster recovery planning and IT infrastructure management.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high attention to detail.
- Exceptional communication skills for stakeholder engagement at all levels; adept at negotiation and conflict resolution.
- Technical proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel), Visio, SharePoint; familiarity with Jira for agile planning; knowledge of SDLC processes aligned with PMBOK standards.
- Demonstrated ability to lead diverse teams through complex projects using effective time management strategies; experience in project scheduling and resource allocation is essential.
