Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Laser Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating, setting up, and maintaining CNC laser cutting machines to produce precision metal components. Your expertise in machine operation, technical blueprint interpretation, and safety standards will ensure high-quality output and efficient production processes. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to innovative metal fabrication projects within a dynamic manufacturing environment.
Duties
- Operate CNC laser cutting machines with precision, ensuring adherence to technical specifications and safety protocols
- Set up machines by installing tooling, adjusting parameters, and programming CNC laser systems based on detailed blueprints and specifications
- Interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and shop math to accurately produce parts and assemblies
- Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and calibration of laser equipment to maintain optimal performance
- Conduct quality inspections using measuring instruments and precision measurement tools to verify dimensional accuracy and surface finish
- Maintain detailed production logs, machine maintenance records, and quality documentation for traceability
- Follow safety standards in production environments by adhering to safety protocols, wearing appropriate PPE, and reporting hazards promptly
Experience
- Proven experience operating CNC laser cutting machines or similar metal fabrication equipment a plus
- Mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret technical drawings and blueprints accurately
- Familiarity with CNC programming languages and software used for laser machine operation
- Knowledge of machining processes such as plasma cutting, electrical discharge machining (EDM), stamping press operation, CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, and forming machines is a plus
- Hands-on experience with measuring instruments for quality control and precision measurement in machining processes
- Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment while maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency
- Basic math skills including shop math necessary for precise measurement and machine setup

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
