We are seeking a detail-oriented, organized, and proactive Treatment Coordinator with expertise in dental insurance verification to join our team. This role is vital in ensuring seamless communication between patients, insurance providers, and the clinical team, facilitating efficient treatment planning and financial arrangements. The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of managed care, medical office procedures, and dental insurance processes.
Responsibilities
- Verify patient insurance coverage accurately by reviewing policies, benefits, and limitations using various insurance portals and systems.
- Communicate effectively with insurance companies to obtain pre-authorizations, clarify coverage details, and resolve claim issues.
- Assist patients in understanding their insurance benefits, including copayments, deductibles, and coverage limitations.
- Maintain comprehensive and organized medical records, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality.
- Collaborate with the clinical team to coordinate treatment plans based on insurance approvals and patient needs.
- Stay current with managed care policies, insurance industry changes, and relevant healthcare regulations to ensure accurate verification processes.
Experience
- Prior experience in a medical or dental office setting is required, with a focus on insurance verification or billing preferred.
- Familiarity with HIPAA compliance standards to ensure patient privacy and data security.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting professionally with patients, insurance representatives, and team members.
