WPB Dental & Implants is seeking an experienced Lead Dental Assistant who is organized, proactive, and thrives in a fast-paced private practice. This is a leadership role for someone who enjoys working side-by-side with the doctor, takes ownership of the clinical schedule, and helps create an exceptional patient experience from start to finish.

Clinical Responsibilities
- Chairside assist the doctor during all general, restorative, cosmetic, surgical, and implant procedures
- Assist with crown and bridge, implant placement and restoration, extractions, bone grafting, endodontic, and cosmetic procedures
- Place and remove retraction (packing) cord
- Fabricate high-quality temporary crowns and bridges
- Take accurate digital impressions using an intraoral scanner (iTero or similar)
- Scan and manage Invisalign cases, place buttons, including submitting scans and assisting with treatment workflow
- Assist with implant procedures, including surgical setup, implant impressions, restorative appointments, and case preparation
- Take high-quality digital radiographs and intraoral photographs
- Prepare treatment rooms before and after every patient
- Maintain OSHA and CDC infection control and sterilization standards
- Prepare all instruments and materials before procedures
- Anticipate the doctor’s needs and maintain an efficient clinical flow
- Provide excellent post-operative instructions and patient education
- Ensure operatories remain clean, organized, and fully stocked throughout the day
Schedule & Clinical Flow Management
- Manage and maintain the doctor’s schedule for maximum productivity
- Help keep the doctor on time throughout the day
- Review upcoming appointments to ensure each patient is fully prepared
- Prepare charts and operatories prior to patient arrival
- Verify all laboratory cases are received and ready for scheduled appointments
Inventory & Equipment Management
- Order and maintain all clinical supplies
- Monitor inventory levels to prevent shortages and unnecessary over-ordering
Daily Team Responsibilities
- Review the next day’s schedule for efficiency and readiness
- Ensure all cases are fully prepared with necessary materials and laboratory work
- Assist teammates throughout the day to maintain exceptional patient care
- Help create a positive, organized, and team-oriented office culture
- Maintain a clean, efficient, and professional clinical environment
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of dental assisting experience preferred
- Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) certification
- Open Dental experience required
- Experience with implant dentistry and surgical assisting
- Invisalign scanning and workflow experience
- Experience using intraoral scanners (iTero or equivalent)
- Ability to fabricate esthetic temporary crowns and bridges
- Comfortable placing and removing retraction (packing) cord
- Strong knowledge of implant components and restorative workflows
- Excellent understanding of all aspects of general dentistry
- Digital radiography experience required
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
