Responsibilities
- Thoroughly wash dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and kitchen equipment using proper dishwashing techniques and sanitizing procedures
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as organizing supplies and handling ingredients safely when needed
- Support bussing duties by clearing tables and ensuring dining areas are clean and inviting for guests
- Follow all food safety management protocols to maintain sanitation standards across the kitchen and dining areas
- Operate kitchen equipment safely, including dishwashers, sinks, and other cleaning tools
- Handle manual tasks such as heavy lifting of large pots or crates of supplies with proper technique to prevent injury
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment by adhering to sanitation and kitchen health standards
Experience
- Previous food service experience or restaurant background is preferred but not required; we value enthusiasm and a willingness to learn
- Familiarity with food handling, sanitation procedures, and basic kitchen operations is advantageous
- Experience in catering, hotel service, or banquet settings can be beneficial but is not mandatory
- Ability to perform physical tasks including standing for long periods, lifting heavy items safely, and working in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices ensures compliance with health regulations
