Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Full Charge Bookkeeper to manage comprehensive accounting functions for our organization. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in various accounting software and financial concepts, ensuring accurate financial record-keeping, reporting, and compliance. This role requires a proactive professional capable of handling complex bookkeeping tasks, reconciling accounts, and supporting financial analysis in accordance with GAAP standards. The position offers an opportunity to contribute significantly to our financial operations within a dynamic environment. Responsibilities:
- Manage full-cycle bookkeeping including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processing.
- Prepare and record journal entries, ensuring accuracy and adherence to accounting principles.
- Reconcile general ledger accounts and perform bank reconciliations regularly.
- Maintain accurate balance sheet reconciliation and general ledger accounting records.
- Generate detailed financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Oversee budgeting processes and assist with financial analysis to support organizational decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and other relevant accounting standards.
- Utilize various accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, Quicken, and specialized governmental or non-profit accounting systems.
- Conduct account analysis and account reconciliation to verify data integrity.
- Support year-end closing procedures and assist with tax preparation activities as needed.
- Maintain organized documentation of all financial transactions and supporting records.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Full Charge Bookkeeper or similar role with extensive knowledge of corporate, non-profit, or governmental accounting practices.
- Proficiency in accounting software including QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, Quicken, and other relevant financial tools.
- Strong understanding of GAAP, double-entry bookkeeping, debits & credits, journal entries, and general ledger reconciliation.
- Familiarity with financial concepts such as budgeting, account analysis, bank reconciliation, and account reconciliation.
- Experience with payroll processing and tax-related activities is preferred.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to perform 10 key typing efficiently for data entry tasks.
- Ability to interpret complex financial data accurately and prepare comprehensive financial reports.
- Strong attention to detail coupled with analytical thinking skills necessary for account reconciliation and account analysis.
- Knowledge of public accounting practices is a plus; experience in governmental or non-profit sectors is highly desirable. This position is integral to maintaining the integrity of our financial operations through meticulous bookkeeping practices and comprehensive reporting capabilities.
Pay: $25.00 - $33.00 per hour
