Responsibilities
- Safely operate shuttle buses, delivery trucks, limousines, or other commercial vehicles to transport passengers or cargo across designated routes.
- Ensure all vehicle inspections are completed before each shift, including checking fluid levels, tire pressure, brakes, lights, and safety equipment.
- Load and unload cargo or luggage with proper handling techniques to prevent damage and adhere to safety standards.
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting passengers with boarding, disembarking, and addressing any inquiries professionally.
- Maintain accurate logs of trips, mileage, fuel consumption, and vehicle maintenance needs.
- Follow all traffic laws and company policies to ensure safety for yourself and others on the road.
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance or report issues promptly to minimize downtime and ensure operational readiness.
Skills
- Proven experience as a shuttle driver, delivery driver, bus driver, or similar role with a strong focus on customer service.
- Valid driver’s license appropriate for the vehicle type (e.g., CDL for commercial vehicles) with a clean driving record.
- Knowledge of local routes, traffic regulations, and safe driving practices.
- Ability to handle heavy lifting when loading or unloading cargo safely.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with passengers and team members.
- Experience with vehicle maintenance checks and troubleshooting minor issues.
