Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) - Industrial Rehabilitation
Saunders Therapy Centers needs a full-time occupational therapist assistant to join our Maple Grove Industrial Rehabilitation team. The COTA works with an interdisciplinary team to design and implement exercise programs and job simulation progressions to maximize our Work Hardening clients' ability to return-to-work. Training provided; priority given for orthopedic knowledge and a strong exercise/training background.
Responsibilities
- Design and supervise client exercise and return-to-work programs based on the supervising clinician's plan of care.
- Collaborate with work hardening team members, consisting of PT, OT, PTA, COTA, depending on location.
- Work with QRCs, Case managers, Physicians, and Employers to coordinate successful return to work
- Document daily notes for all clients
- Compose weekly narrative written progress reports - excellent writing skills required
- Perform MS screen and manual therapy techniques as needed.
- Actively participate in Weekly team meetings
- Develop rapport with referral sources, having a "marketing mindset"
