Job Description
Job Summary
Responsible for accurately registering patients, collecting demographic and insurance information, and ensuring a positive patient experience at the initial point of contact.
Key Responsibilities
Greet and interview patients and their families to obtain necessary demographic and insurance information.
Accurately enter patient data into the hospital's electronic health record (EHR) system.
Verify insurance eligibility and benefits and obtain necessary pre-authorizations.
Explain hospital policies, procedures, and patient rights to patients and their families.
Collect co-payments, deductibles, and outstanding balances as required.
- Schedule appointments, tests, and procedures, coordinating with various departments.
Required Qualifications
High School diploma/GED
Preferred Qualifications
1 year scheduling and registration
Clinical experience with knowledge in medical procedures, terminology and documentation
Bilingual (Spanish/English)
The pay range for this position is $14.85 - $22.28. Compensation is determined based on years of relevant experience and departmental equity.
