Job Title: Per Diem or Full Time Medical Assistant – Orthopedic Practice
Location: Broward County and Miami Dade
Our busy orthopedic practice in broward county and miami dade is seeking a dependable and skilled Per Diem and Full Time Medical Assistant to provide clinical support on an as-needed basis. This role is ideal for a flexible professional who thrives in a fast-paced specialty environment and is committed to delivering high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Room patients and obtain vital signs and medical histories
- Assist providers with examinations, procedures, and injections
- Prepare and clean exam rooms
- Perform basic clinical tasks including suture removal, brace fitting, and cast assistance (as applicable)
- Document accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR) system
- Coordinate with front desk and clinical staff to ensure efficient patient flow
Qualifications:
- Current Medical Assistant certification preferred
- Previous orthopedic experience strongly preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology and clinical procedures
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and adapt to changing schedules
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
