Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Human Resources Assistant to join our dynamic HR team. This role is integral to supporting various human resources functions, including talent acquisition, employee relations, benefits administration, and compliance management. Duties
Assist with talent acquisition processes by supporting recruiting efforts, screening candidates, and coordinating interviews using applicant tracking systems (ATS) such as iCIMS or Workday. Support onboarding and employee orientation programs to ensure smooth integration of new hires. Help administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave policies such as FMLA and workers' compensation claims. Participate in performance management activities by collecting evaluation data and supporting employee development initiatives. Assist with compliance-related tasks including OSHA regulations, affirmative action planning, and labor law adherence. Coordinate training and development sessions to promote continuous learning across the organization. Support HR projects related to workforce management, organization design, succession planning, and change management strategies. Handle employee inquiries professionally and facilitate conflict management processes when necessary. Contribute to HR data collection efforts for reporting purposes using platforms like Paychex, ADP, or Kronos.
Skills
Strong knowledge of human capital management principles and employment/labor law regulations. Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with employees at all levels. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with strong organizational skills. Familiarity with ATS platforms like iCIMS or Taleo for sourcing and recruiting activities. Understanding of payroll systems such as Paylocity or Kronos for accurate data entry and processing. Knowledge of OSHA standards and safety regulations relevant to workplace compliance. Competence in conflict management and employee relations strategies. Experience in training & development initiatives and performance management processes.
