Job Summary

You will be responsible for ensuring all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized to uphold the highest standards of food safety and sanitation. Responsibilities
- Operate commercial dishwashing equipment to clean dishes, cookware, utensils, and kitchen tools efficiently and safely.
- Follow food safety sanitizing procedures to ensure all items meet health standards and prevent cross-contamination.
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including organizing supplies and handling ingredients with proper food handling techniques.
- Support bussing duties by removing trash, and maintaining general cleanliness.
- Handle manual tasks such as heavy lifting of pots, pans, and large quantities of dishware with proper ergonomic techniques.
- Maintain sanitation standards by regularly cleaning workstations, sinks, and storage areas according to kitchen health and safety regulations.
- Operate basic kitchen equipment safely while adhering to all food safety management protocols.
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs at a time, and stand for multiple hours a day.
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required; on-the-job training will be provided.
- Experience with dishwashing or kitchen cleanup roles demonstrates understanding of kitchen health standards.
- Ability to handle manual tasks including heavy lifting and prolonged standing during busy service periods.
- Knowledge of basic kitchen operations such as operating dishwashers, cleaning equipment, and supporting food service teams enhances your fit for this role.
