POSITION OVERVIEW
This is a critical DC operational support position designed to help establish and maintain processes, identify and correct issues related to order fulfillment and inventory management. They are responsible for assuring company standards for inventory and picking accuracy are measured and maintained. This role is part of the Inventory / Quality team and will often communicate with other WSS departments and managers. Examples would be UPC issues, inventory discrepancies, cycle counting, damaged goods disposition, quality auditing, etc. Scope of responsibility extends from post-receiving at DC to store receipt of goods.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (May include but not limited to the following)
- Perform inventory cycle counting and make needed adjustments; communicate to inventory control per SOP; performs analyses of inventory in various formats
- Monitor and analyze picking skips (F8’s) to determine root causes and corrective actions
- Manage problem inventory placed into overs / shorts, amnesty or quarantine areas
- Audits material handlers for picking and staging accuracy per standard and interacts with material handlers to discuss picking variances – providing positive feedback as well as adjusting feedback opportunities
- Helps analyze and resolve inventory, picking accuracy and store shipment issues – mis-labeling, mis-delivery, mis-count, etc.
- Identify items that should be FD’d or adjusted out to DMG locations
- Resolve items that have been placed in the Amnesty bins
- Provide analysis and support for inventory slotting team
- Provide recommendations for improvement of inventory management and contribute to development of SOPs
- Identify multi-pack items and perform routine maintenance
- May participate in daily MDI meetings and inventory review meetings as required
- Maintain ongoing housekeeping and orderliness
- Maintain neat and accurate inventory positions in racks during performance of activities in the aisles
- Communicate issues and problems on a timely basis to management team members
- May be occasionally asked to perform responsibilities using skills from previous roles such as picking, replenishment, other specialist positions, etc. in order to support the needs of the business
Knowledge of:
- Order picking process and SOP’s
- Safe lifting, turning, stacking techniques of material handling; safe use of basic material handling equipment – must be able to lift 25+ pound tote and stack 5 high
- Basic warehouse concepts of inventory controls, product movement

- Work overtime as needed and work different shifts as business needs dictate

- Ability to learn the High Jump WMS system in great detail, understanding the various reports and analytical capabilities
- Problem solve effectively by following established procedures and pulling in needed resources.
- Must be willing, able and comfortable with giving feedback to others (material handlers) to help coach and improve performance
- Pay attention to detail and abide by all SOP’s without exception
- Record and maintain documents and records
- Perform basic math computations such as add, subtract, multiply and divide
- Meet schedules/timelines as well as plan and organize own work
- Work and communicate effectively as a team member to all levels of the organization
Education and / or Experience Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent is required
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Must be able to read, write and speak English
- Prior experience as material handler (order picking)
- Familiarity with WMS system and RF device operation
- Proficient in basic Excel, Word; must be comfortable using laptop and working in excel spreadsheets
- Expected shift(s)- One shift Sunday-Thursday at 12:00 pm and One shift Tuesday-Saturday at 12:00 pm
