Responsibilities
- Assist with the installation, repair, and maintenance of roofing systems using hand tools and power tools
- Follow construction plans, schematics, and blueprints to ensure accurate project execution
- Handle heavy lifting of materials such as shingles, metal panels, or framing components safely and efficiently
- Use safety harnesses and adhere to all construction workplace safety regulations to prevent accidents
- Support siding installation, stucco application, or other exterior finishing tasks as needed
- Prepare job sites by setting up scaffolding, staging materials, and organizing tools for efficient workflow
- Collaborate with team members to interpret technical drawings and ensure project specifications are met
Skills
- Construction site experience with knowledge of roofing techniques and materials
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately
- Proficiency with hand tools (hammers, screwdrivers, chisels) and power tools (drills, saws)
- Understanding of construction safety harnesses and adherence to safety regulations on-site
- Experience with framing carpentry, metal stud framing, or masonry is a plus
- Familiarity with construction estimating processes and blueprint reading skills
- Capable of heavy lifting and performing physically demanding tasks throughout the workday
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, welding, tile laying or restoration work is advantageous but not required
