Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our multidisciplinary healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide advanced clinical care, perform comprehensive patient assessments, and develop personalized treatment plans across diverse medical settings. Duties
- Conduct thorough physical examinations and assess patient health status using physiology knowledge and diagnostic evaluation techniques.
- Manage acute and chronic conditions through medication administration, IV infusion, suturing, and other advanced procedures such as dermal fillers or botulinum toxin treatments.
- Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care plans, discharge planning, and case management.
- Utilize EMR systems like Epic or eClinicalWorks to document medical records accurately while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Perform specialized procedures including catheterization, spinal taps, sonography, or gastroscopic evaluations as needed.
- Provide telehealth consultations to extend care access and support patients remotely across various settings such as outpatient clinics or home care.
- Educate patients on health coaching topics like nutrition, disease prevention, medication adherence, and post-acute care strategies.
Qualifications
- Valid Nurse Practitioner license with current certification in advanced practice nursing.
- Proven experience in critical care environments such as ICU or Level I Trauma Centers; hospital medicine experience preferred.
- Demonstrated proficiency with EMR/EHR systems including Epic, Cerner, or Athenahealth; telehealth experience is a plus.
- Strong background in specialties such as emergency medicine, geriatrics, behavioral health, or gastroenterology; familiarity with CPT coding and ICD coding is advantageous.
- Hands-on experience performing procedures like suturing, phlebotomy, venipuncture, catheter care, or spinal taps; familiarity with sterile processing and infection control protocols.
- Knowledge of Workers' Compensation law and hospice & palliative medicine practices is desirable.
- Excellent patient assessment skills combined with physiology knowledge; ability to work effectively in inpatient or outpatient settings including assisted living or nursing homes.
- Ability to handle diverse cases involving acute pain management, infectious disease care, occupational health issues, or pediatric populations including toddlers and neonates. Pay: $150,000.00 - $200,000.00 per year
