Practical and Technical Skills
- Tool Knowledge: Knowing how to safely use and handle common hand and power tools.
- Equipment Operation: Experience driving or using heavy tools like forklifts, pallet jacks, or skid loaders.
- Basic Math: Measuring parts, counting inventory, and computing simple numbers.
- Maintenance: Cleaning work areas, organizing parts, and keeping shop property tidy
Physical and Personal Skills
- Stamina: Standing for long hours and lifting heavy items (often 25 to 50 pounds or more).
- Safety Focus: Following strict workplace safety rules and wearing proper gear.
- Communication: Listening well to directions from senior staff and speaking clearly with team members and vendors.
- Reliability: Showing up on time, working hard in fast settings, and paying close attention to details
