A mission-driven organization in Connecticut is seeking a Medical Director (Addiction Medicine) to join its team. This program supports licensed healthcare professionals across the state by providing education, monitoring, and recovery resources related to behavioral health, physical health conditions, and substance use. The organization plays a critical role in helping providers safely return to practice while protecting patient safety and promoting long-term wellness.
This is a non-clinical leadership role focused on case oversight, program management, and collaboration rather than direct patient care. The Medical Director will work with a small, collaborative team that includes an RN, therapists, and a case manager who supports day-to-day operations. The role involves reviewing cases, providing clinical guidance, supporting program integrity, and engaging in outreach efforts.
The schedule offers excellent work-life balance with a 4-day, 32-hour workweek as the standard, along with flexibility in daily hours. There is also an option for a 5-day, 40-hour schedule with a hybrid component. No call is required, and evenings and weekends are fully protected.
This opportunity is ideal for a physician looking to step into a meaningful, lower-stress role while still making a significant impact on the healthcare community.
