Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Commercial Carpenter(s) to join our team for night shift operations from 10pm to 6am. The ideal candidate will be responsible for constructing and installing structures in commercial building projects, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship and adherence to safety standards. This role requires precision, teamwork, and the ability to work efficiently during overnight hours to meet project deadlines. The Commercial Carpenter plays a vital part in transforming architectural plans into tangible structures, contributing to the successful completion of commercial construction projects.
Responsibilities
- Measure, cut, and assemble materials according to detailed project specifications
- Construct frameworks, partitions, and various wooden structures as required for commercial buildings
- Operate power tools and hand tools safely and effectively to complete carpentry tasks
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment to ensure safety for all team members
- Collaborate with project managers, supervisors, and other tradespeople to ensure timely progress
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and building plans accurately
- Inspect completed work for quality control and make necessary adjustments or corrections
- Assist in the loading and unloading of materials and equipment as needed
Experience
- Prior experience (2 years) as a commercial carpenter or in a similar construction role is required.
- Proficiency in using various carpentry tools and equipment
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings with accuracy
- Strong understanding of safety standards and procedures in a construction environment
- Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors
- Ability to work independently during night shifts with minimal supervision
