Responsibilities
- Assist the Kitchen Manager in supervising daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation to meet quality standards.
- Support inventory control efforts by monitoring stock levels, conducting regular stock checks, and assisting with food ordering processes.
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for order entry, cash handling, and transaction processing with accuracy and efficiency.
- Help train and mentor kitchen staff on food safety procedures, proper food handling techniques, and operational standards to ensure compliance and excellence.
- Contribute to shift management by coordinating team schedules, supervising staff performance, and ensuring smooth service flow during busy hours.
- Assist in managing food production for various services including casual dining, catering events, banquets, or hotel functions.
- Support management in analyzing profit and loss reports, budgeting efforts, and implementing cost-control measures to maximize profitability.
Skills
- Proven experience in quick service or fast food restaurant environments with strong knowledge of food preparation and cooking techniques.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for efficient transaction processing.
- Demonstrated ability to supervise teams effectively while fostering a positive work environment through strong leadership and communication skills.
- Knowledge of food safety management practices and compliance with health regulations.
- Experience in inventory control, food management, and managing hospitality teams to ensure operational excellence.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle cash transactions accurately and perform basic math calculations swiftly.
- Background in culinary arts or restaurant management with previous assistant manager or supervisory experience preferred.
