Position Qualifications:
· J.D. is required, and candidates must be admitted to the New York Bar or eligible for prompt admission.
· The position will involve researching and drafting substantive and complex complaints and legal briefs, primarily in matters involving public company mergers and acquisitions, as well as handling other cases that will allow the successful candidate to further develop litigation skills.
· Candidates should be familiar with the SEC’s EDGAR system, LEXIS/NEXIS, and the appropriate use of artificial intelligence tools to assist in drafting pleadings and motions. Prior experience in commercial litigation is helpful but not required.
· Strong academic and professional credentials are required.
· Excellent legal research, writing, analytical, and oral communication skills are essential.
· Candidates should be highly organized, detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of managing multiple assignments and deadlines effectively.
· The ideal candidate will possess an entrepreneurial mindset, a strong work ethic, and the ability and desire to continue developing litigation skills while assuming meaningful responsibility in active matters.
Position Details:
· This is an in-office position based in the firm’s downtown Manhattan office. Attorneys are expected to work on site; remote or work-from-home arrangements are not available for this role. This is not a traditional 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. position, and candidates should be prepared to work evenings and weekends, as necessary, to meet the demands of complex litigation and court-imposed deadlines.
· Compensation will be commensurate with experience and is expected to range from approximately $100,000 to $150,000, plus bonus.
