Property Management Company has a maintenance position open for a commercial Building Engineer. This position will assist the Chief Engineer with the following:
· Day-to-day building operations, including tenant requests, performing repairs
· Maintenance of building systems
· Overseeing the work of subcontractors who are performing service work.
This is a full-time position. This position does require working Saturdays. The work schedule is Tuesday through Saturday, 9am to 5:30pm
- Have a variety of experiences in basic carpentry, electrical and plumbing repairs and the standard set of tools required to perform these trades. Basic knowledge of commercial HVAC systems and office buildings experience is preferred.
- Valid Maryland driver’s license and a working vehicle.
- Good verbal and written skills to be able to effectively interact with tenants and subcontractors
- High school diploma, G.E.D. and/ or vocational training
- Strong organizational and Customer Service skills
- Basic ability to respond to emails and work orders via a computer or smart phone.
- Must be able to pass a criminal background
- Be able to climb ladders, lift 50lbs, kneel and stand for extended periods.
