Position: Canning Line Operator
Schedule: 5:00am- 3:30pm, Monday – Thursday (10 hour shift)

As our production continues to expand, we’re looking for a dependable Canning Line Operator to join our team.
Position Overview:
As a Canning Line Operator, you’ll be responsible for operating the canning line and ensuring products meet our strict quality and food safety standards. This role involves equipment operation, documentation, quality verification, and supporting other production areas when needed. If you’re detail‑oriented, mechanically inclined, and enjoy taking ownership of your work, this position offers a strong opportunity to build and develop your production expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate Canning Equipment: Run the filler, seamer, retort, and related machinery to maintain efficient production.
- Quality Control: Perform seam checks, fill weight verification, pressure readings, and other product inspections.
- Documentation: Complete verification logs, production forms, and food safety paperwork accurately and consistently.
- Food Safety Compliance: Follow GMPs, SOPs, and all SQF and FDA requirements.
- Sanitation: Maintain clean equipment, tools, and work areas throughout the shift.
- Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve minor equipment or process issues to minimize downtime.
- Cross‑Training: Assist with other production tasks (such as sleeving or liquid processing) when the canning line is not running.
- Material Handling: Operate pallet jacks and forklifts after completing required training.
- Retort Operation: Serve as the primary retort operator after completing certification and required training.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in manufacturing, food production, packaging, or related experience.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to follow procedures and maintain precise documentation.
- Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn new equipment and processes.
- Ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks.
- Good communication skills and a positive, team‑focused attitude.
- Must be available to work the AM scheduled 10-hour AM/day shift, Monday–Thursday, 5:00 AM - 3:30PM.
