Responsibilities

- Assist in menu planning to create appealing and balanced meal options that meet dietary needs.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, ensuring proper food handling and sanitation procedures are followed at all times.
- Maintain high-volume food production while adhering strictly to recipe specifications and presentation standards.
- Support dietary department needs by preparing specialized meals in accordance with dietary restrictions and guidelines.
- Ensure compliance with food safety management practices, including sanitizing procedures and proper food storage.
- Collaborate with team members to deliver excellent food service experiences consistently.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a cook or culinary professional, preferably with fine dining or restaurant experience.
- Strong knowledge of food industry standards, including food safety, handling, and sanitizing procedures.
- Demonstrated skills in various cooking techniques such as poaching, braising, grilling, and knife skills.
- Experience with menu planning, recipe adherence, and meal preparation for high-volume production.
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Background in dietary aide work or dietary department experience is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team dedicated to quality and safety standards.
