Senior Electrical Project Manager - Data Center Projects
EarthStream Global is representing a leading electrical contractor delivering projects from pre-construction through commissioning and project closeout. The business specializes in complex, mission-critical electrical installations across Data Centers, Technology, Advanced Manufacturing, Healthcare, Life Sciences, Transportation, Commercial, and Government sectors.
We are seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of large-scale Data Center construction projects. Candidates with proven Data Center experience are highly preferred. However, professionals who have successfully delivered complex, process-driven projects within sectors such as pharmaceuticals, semiconductor manufacturing, biotech, advanced manufacturing, power generation, or other highly regulated industrial environments will also be considered.
Position Summary
The Senior Electrical Project Manager will be responsible for the overall planning, execution, commercial management, and successful delivery of electrical construction projects from award through final handover.
This role requires a strong understanding of mission-critical environments where safety, quality, schedule adherence, commissioning readiness, and operational reliability are paramount. The successful candidate will work closely with clients, contractors, consultants, vendors, and internal teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead electrical construction projects from pre-construction through commissioning and final turnover.
- Manage all contractual obligations and project deliverables.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, general contractors, consultants, subcontractors, utility providers, and vendors.
- Partner with Project Engineers, Superintendents, Foremen, Estimators, and Commissioning teams to ensure project success.
- Mentor and develop Project Managers, Engineers, and site teams.
- Manage project budgets, cost forecasts, financial reporting, and overall project profitability.
- Prepare and maintain accurate Work-in-Progress (WIP) reporting and cost projections.
- Develop, track, and manage project schedules and critical milestone deadlines.
- Lead project meetings and maintain clear communication across all stakeholders.
- Review drawings, specifications, and construction documents to ensure scope alignment and identify value engineering opportunities.
- Review, negotiate, and manage change orders, variations, and scope modifications.
- Manage procurement activities including electrical equipment, long-lead materials, subcontract packages, tools, and resources.
- Support commissioning, testing, energization, and turnover activities.
- Prepare project reports, presentations, forecasts, and client updates.
- Ensure all installations meet project quality standards and client requirements.
- Proactively resolve project challenges and implement corrective actions where required.
- Drive continuous improvement and recommend innovative construction solutions.
- Manage billing activities and maintain positive project cash flow.
- Ensure compliance with all company safety policies, site-specific requirements, and industry regulations.
- Travel to project sites as required.
QualificationsRequired
- Minimum 8-10 years of experience managing electrical construction projects.
- Proven experience delivering Data Center, Mission Critical, or highly process-driven industrial construction projects.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, construction methodologies, procurement, scheduling, and project controls.
- Experience managing project budgets, forecasting, subcontractors, and client-facing project delivery.
- Strong commercial and contractual management experience.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced construction environments.
- Proficiency in project reporting, scheduling, and cost management tools.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel as required.
Preferred
- Direct experience delivering Data Center construction projects.
- Experience supporting Data Center developments.
- Experience within pharmaceutical, semiconductor, biotech, advanced manufacturing, power generation, or other highly regulated industries.
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
- Experience with commissioning, startup, and turnover processes in mission-critical facilities.
Key Requirement
Data Center experience is highly preferred. However, candidates with successful project management experience in highly process-driven environments such as pharmaceuticals, semiconductors, advanced manufacturing, biotech, power generation, or other mission-critical industrial facilities are strongly encouraged to apply.
