Crystal Leaves is a new, medically endorsed cannabis retail store opening soon in Spokane. Our mission is to provide a professional, compliant, and welcoming environment for both adult‑use customers and registered medical cannabis patients. We are committed to building a consistent, high‑performing team and that begins with hiring the right Cannabis Store Manager.
Role Description
Seeking an experienced Cannabis Store Manager to oversee daily operations, lead and develop the team, uphold strict WSLCB and DOH compliance standards, and foster a positive, accountable store culture. This is a hands‑on leadership position; the Store Manager will be present on the sales floor, coaching staff, resolving issues in real time, and ensuring smooth, consistent operations each day.
Key responsibilities include hiring and
onboarding the team, managing schedules, responding to staffing emergencies,
and maintaining operational excellence across all aspects of the store.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Staffing
· Hire, train, and develop all store employees
· Build weekly schedules and ensure full shift coverage
· Respond promptly to call‑outs and staffing gaps
· Lead by example on the sales floor
· Conduct coaching sessions, performance evaluations, and corrective action as needed
Compliance
- Ensure full compliance with WSLCB and DOH regulations
- Enforce ID verification, traceability, and SOP adherence
- Maintain medical endorsement requirements
- Prepare for and manage regulatory inspections
Operations
- Oversee daily opening and closing procedures
- Maintain a clean, organized, customer‑focused store
- Creating and maintaining policies and SOP’s
- Resolve escalated customer issues
- Manage POS operations and cash handling
- Ensure medical consultants are scheduled
Inventory Management
- Oversee receiving, storage, and audits
- Maintain medical vs recreational inventory segregation
- Investigate discrepancies and maintain accurate traceability
- Manage waste disposal procedures
Physical Requirements
· Ability to stand for long periods
· Lift up to 30–40 lbs.
· Work in a fast‑paced environment
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of cannabis retail management experience
- Strong understanding of WSLCB rules and compliance
- Experience hiring and managing teams of 8–20 people
- Ability to handle staffing emergencies and schedule changes
- Hands‑on leadership style, willing to jump in anywhere
- Strong communication, accountability, and professionalism
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience opening a new cannabis store
- Experience with medical cannabis programs
- Familiarity with point-of-sale systems such as Posabit, Dutchie, etc
- Inventory management experience
- DOH Medical Cannabis Consultant certification (or willingness to obtain)
