Desert Pine Mechanical is hiring an HVAC Service Technician / Installer to join our growing team.
We provide residential and light commercial HVAC service, preventative maintenance, equipment replacements, remodel/TI work, and new construction throughout Utah.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys variety and is comfortable working in both service and installation environments.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair residential and light commercial HVAC systems
- Perform service calls and preventative maintenance
- Troubleshoot electrical, refrigeration, airflow, and mechanical issues
- Install furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, air handlers, mini-splits, and related equipment
- Perform residential and light commercial equipment change-outs
- Install complete HVAC systems on new construction projects
- Install and modify ductwork, flex duct, line sets, condensate piping, registers, grilles, and ventilation
- Complete HVAC rough-in, equipment setting, finish work, start-up, and commissioning
- Read plans, equipment specifications, and manufacturer documentation
- Document completed work, service findings, and recommendations
- Maintain clean and professional jobsites and company vehicles
- Communicate professionally with customers, contractors, and the Desert Pine team
Qualifications
- 2–5 years of HVAC experience preferred
- RMGA certification preferred
- EPA 608 certification preferred
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- HVAC service, troubleshooting, or installation experience
- Ability to work independently and as part of an installation crew
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
- Dependable, professional, and willing to continue learning
