Schedule: Weekend and holiday availability required (peak turnover days)
Duration: Seasonal position with potential for extension or conversion to full-time based on performance and business needs.
About the Role
Big Bear Vacations manages 300+ vacation rental properties across Big Bear Lake, and our
guests expect every cabin to be spotless, fully stocked, and ready the moment they walk in. The Quality Assurance Inspector is the last set of eyes on a property before guest arrival , verifying cleanliness, staging, functionality, and safety against BBV standards, and catching issues before guests ever see them.
This is a seasonal, field-based role supporting our busiest months, when arrival volume is at its peak. You'll spend your day driving between properties across assigned zones, conducting structured inspections, documenting findings with photo evidence, and escalating deficiencies for immediate resolution.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect properties before guest arrival using BBV checklists to make sure they're clean,staged, and guest-ready
- Take timestamped photos of every inspection using the Timemark app
- Spot problems (cleaning issues, damage, missing items) and decide if they need a
- reclean, a quick fix, or a maintenance work order
- Create work orders in our system with clear notes and photos
- Handle basic fixes yourself — changing light bulbs, replacing remote and lockbox
- batteries, resetting Wi-Fi routers, tightening loose hardware, and light cleaning or touch-ups when it's faster than calling someone out
- Report findings to your QA lead and housekeeping teams the same day
- Complete your daily inspection route on time — same-day arrivals come first
- Flag properties with repeat problems so we can fix the root cause
- Help with occasional property audits and seasonal readiness checks
- Follow safety rules for working alone and driving in winter conditions
Qualifications
- 1+ years in housekeeping, hospitality, property inspection, or a related quality/detail-oriented role, vacation rental
- Basic maintenance/handy skills ,comfortable changing light bulbs, swapping batteries in remotes and locks, and doing light cleaning or touch-ups on the spot
Reimbursement:
- Gas Reimbursement of $0.72 / Mile
Requirements:
- Valid Drivers License
- Strong Vehicle for all weather conditions
- Personal Auto insurance
Pay: $18.00 per hour
