Description of Responsibilities
The Respiratory Therapist (RT) is responsible for set up, education and monitoring the patients that utilize O2 and respiratory related equipment.

Responsibilities of the Respiratory Therapist include the following:
- Represent the Company in a professional and courteous manner in all interactions with client/patients.
- Visit the O2, PAP, Ventilator, Airway Clearance System, and other respiratory patients’ place of residence when necessary for service calls, setup, pickup etc.
- Manage the resupply of PAP and other supplies needed by patients
- Assist with delivery, setup, pickup and servicing of other DME as needed.
- Ensure compliance with all licensure and federal, state, and local laws and regulations; observe the Respiratory policies on ‘’best practices’’.
- Keep all respiratory equipment logs current and accurate, for usage and maintenance.
- Ensure respiratory patients are kept up-to-date with needed resupply.
- Assist in resolving client concerns and complaints.
- Assume on-call responsibilities in accordance with Company guidelines.
- Report product incidents as required in accordance with Company policy.
- Participate in surveys conducted by authorized inspection agencies.
- Participate in the Company’s Performance Management program as requested by the Performance Management Coordinator.
- Participate in Company committees when requested.
- Pursue continuing education programs appropriate to job responsibilities.
- Perform other duties as assigned by VP of Clinical Operations
The following functions require the professional judgment of a Physician and may not be performed by a Respiratory Therapist:
Acceptance of verbal prescriptions.
Certification of filled prescriptions.
Weighing or measuring active drug ingredients without verification by a pharmacist.
Reconstitution of prefabricated medication without verification by a pharmacist.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Effective interpersonal, time management and organizational skills.
- Certification as a CA Respiratory care practitioner.
- Current knowledge of all applicable state and federal applicable laws, rules and regulations.
Physical Requirements

- The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and sit, as well as talk and hear.
- The employee is required to use hands to operate vehicles and office equipment.
- The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
